Black Canyon Triathlon

The Montrose Firefighter’s Association proudly present the 9th Annual Black Canyon Sprint Triathlon.It begins with a 500 meter swim (10 laps) at the Montrose Aquatic Center, then continues with a 25K (15.5 mile) bike course winding through the west side of town and wraps up with a hilly 5K (3.1 mile) run that finishes at the aquatic center.
There will be something for everyone at the 2010 BCST! We are planning a Street Fair type atmosphere with activities, food and fun for the entire family.
Proceeds from this event benefit the community of Montrose. Over $9,000.00 was returned to the local groups that assisted in the Triathlon in 2009! Please be appreciative patrons of all the generous sponsors that make this event possible!

Time: Main Triathlon 8:15 a.m.
Divisions: Youth, Adult, Team, Family Team.
Awards: Overall top male and female. Top three finishers in the following: Team, Family Team,Youth male and female(1st-4th grade and 5th-8th grade), Male and Female 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44,45-49,50-54, 55-59,60-64, 65-69, 70+.
Race Fees: On or before September 1st– Youth- $30 , Adult(15+)- $50 , Team(Regular and Family) - $80
September 2nd thru 15th – Youth- $40 , Adult(15+)- $65 , Team – $95
September 16th thru 30th –Youth- $50 , Adult(15+)- $90 , Team – $120
Registration is limited so enter early!!!
T-shirts may be mailed for registrations received after 9/15!!!
Distances:
Youth- (1st-4th grade) 100m swim, 5k bike, 1.5k run.
Youth- (5th-8th grade) 250m swim, 10k bike, 2k run.
Adult-500m swim, 25k bike, 5k run.
Team – will do distance(s) corresponding to oldest team member’s correct division. Teams can be made up of either 2 or 3 people.
Example: two 4th graders and a 5th grader are on a team, ALL participants would do the distances for the 5th-8th grade.
Family Team - Distances in this division would correspond to each participant’s age/grade, and team members would be from same family.
Example: distances if the family team consisted of a first grader(100m swim), an adult(25k bike), and a 7th grader(2k run).
